Welcome to Freedom Ministries

Thank you for connecting with us and for your interest in receiving ministry with Freedom Ministries. We are pleased to share this detailed information with you that will answer some questions you may have.

Freedom Ministries forms part of Paradox Transformation Centre, a ministry of Paradox Church, and is for followers of Jesus. Our ministry rooms are located within the grounds of Paradox Church; 13 Fifty Road, Baldivis, Western Australia. If you are from further away, interstate or overseas, prayer ministry can take place online via zoom link.

Prayer Ministry Model
The primary ministry model we use at Freedom Ministries is the Elijah House prayer ministry model.

Elijah House prayer ministry was founded through the pioneering work of John and Paula Sandford. It is primarily pastoral in nature, based on Biblical principles, and led by the Holy Spirit.

Freedom Ministry’s style of prayer ministry always includes looking for the root causes that lie beneath the surface of any presenting problems. These root causes can contribute to difficult/broken relationships, patterns and cycles, sinful compulsions, and many other kinds of bad “fruit.” Once roots are discovered, the Prayer Minister leads you in prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ. We ask Him to bring healing to the wounded places and lead you to forgive any who might have wounded you, as well as be forgiven for any sinful responses to the original wounding. The Prayer Minister’s role in the healing process is to facilitate what the Holy Spirit wants to accomplish in you. There are no specific formulas, but there is a general approach trained prayer ministers have been schooled in.

We address all personal issues except those that stem from brain damage or require live-in treatment. NOTE: At this time, we are NOT taking clients for prayer ministry who are diagnosed with Schizophrenia, Bi-Polar, recent suicidal ideation/attempts and Dissociative Identity Disorder.

Details and Costs for Prayer Ministry
We offer 1 ½ - 2 hour sessions. In each session it will just be you with two Prayer Ministers – at times a Trainee Prayer Minister may also be in session, but you would be notified of this before your session.

Cost of Prayer Ministry
Freedom Ministries costs $100 AUD ($75 for concession card holders - a copy of relevant card will be requested) per session (1 ½ to 2 hours). Payment will be required at time of booking. Please note that for the concession rate your Health Care, Student, or Pension card is required to be shown to your prayer minister at the time of your prayer ministry session otherwise full rate will be charged. Should your prayer ministry run slightly shorter than the estimated time due to the need to refer you on to another ministry, no discount will be given.

Ministry Training Program
The Program plays an important part in Freedom Ministries’ mandate to equip people for the ministry of restoring and transforming individuals and families; therefore, a Trainee may participate in your ministry sessions alongside your Prayer Ministers. Please be assured that we always adhere to a strict policy of confidentiality, which includes the Trainees.

Any cancellations made less than 2 days prior to your confirmed booking date, without a proven medical emergency, we ask for a cancellation fee of $50 for prayer ministry.

As a nonprofit organization, Freedom Ministries is totally dependent upon the generous contributions of others. This enables us to continue to offer pastoral care to hurting hearts. While requesting the full amount for services provided, no one is refused a regular prayer ministry because of an inability to give. We trust The Lord for your financial needs and for the financial needs of Freedom Ministries. Please contact us at freedom@paradox.church if you wish to give into the prayer ministry of others who can’t afford it.

Scheduling Ministry Appointments
Before we can move forward to schedule your ministry appointment, please first complete the Prescheduling Questionnaire below. The purpose of this questionnaire is to give us a clear understanding of your need for ministry and the issues you want to address. We want to be sure our specific ministry model is a good fit for you. When we have received and reviewed your responses in the questionnaire, we will contact you via email with a link to our booking system to schedule your ministry or refer you on.

We believe the Lord will prepare your heart to receive what He has in store for you during your ministry sessions.

The purpose of prayer ministry is for spiritual growth, freedom and inner healing. It is not a counseling service, nor is it intended to be. We are not licensed psychologists or psychiatrists, nor are we certified marriage or substance and alcohol abuse counsellors. We are trained in using the Word of God and prayer through the power of the Holy Spirit. The results of this approach depend on the readiness of the individual for prayer ministry, cooperation with the Holy Spirit's conviction, and willingness to make wise choices consistent with the teachings of Jesus Christ.

The commitment to train people in the development of their skills is an ongoing aspect of our ministry therefore Trainee Ministers may be part of your ministry session. The adherence to a strict policy of confidentiality also applies to Trainees working with our Ministers.

As part of our duty of care policy, any planned or recently attempted suicide, threats to harm self or others or child abuse will be reported to the relevant authorities.

Anyone currently addicted to alcohol or other drugs will need to have stayed clean and sober for 90 days before having prayer ministry with Freedom Ministries.

5. I acknowledge that I further understand that, if at any time the Prayer Minister determines that I require services beyond his or her scope of training they will decline to provide services. If this occurs, the Prayer Minister may be able to provide a reference to other professionals or agencies. I acknowledge that a referral represents only a suggestion as to where I might obtain assistance, and in no way obligates the Prayer Minister or the referred professional or agency.
6. I acknowledge that I recognise that the outcome of prayer ministry is dependent upon a number of factors and results cannot be guaranteed.
7. I acknowledge that I have read all of the preceding information and understand the purposes of prayer ministry and am aware of its limited scope of services as well as compliance to Freedom Ministries’ duty of care policies.
